The past few weeks have been a major turning point for Wishplace. A lot of hard work has finally come together, moving the project from a set of designs into a secure, functional application. The app is now standing on very solid ground as we head into the new year.
Secure authentication and biometric login
The most critical part of any platform is how it handles user security. I have completed the full authentication flow from end to end. This is not just a simple login; it is a professional-grade system designed to keep your data safe.
- Firebase Integration: We are using Firebase Authentication for reliable and secure access.
- Biometrics: The app now supports Face ID and other device biometrics for a faster login.
- Secure APIs: There is now a hardened connection between the mobile app and our backend API.
Professional environments and stability
To build a reliable product, you need a professional setup. I have established separate development and production environments. This means I can test new features safely in a "Dev" space without affecting the "Prod" version that users see.
We are now running a dedicated PostgreSQL production database on Google Cloud. To monitor performance, I have integrated Crashlytics and a centralized logging system. This allows me to trace and debug issues across the entire stack instantly, ensuring the app remains stable as we add more features.
A major visual and legal upgrade
The user interface has received a significant redesign. It is now cleaner, more modern, and more coherent across all screens. I have also updated the app icon and polished the overall visual experience to make it feel like a premium tool.
Beyond the visuals, I have finalized the first versions of our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. Being transparent about how we handle data and how the marketplace works is essential for building trust in the real estate world.
Looking ahead to the new year
The goal is to have Wishplace fully ready by the end of January. The next steps involve building the APIs for user settings and property management. If you want to start testing Wishplace via TestFlight or Android, now is the time to reach out.
I wish everyone a happy new year filled with growth and exciting projects. Wishplace is available on iOS and Android. Download the app.
