All core functionalities are now implemented. However, as often happens at the very end of a project, a last-minute idea emerged that felt essential to the user experience. We have added a new layer of local context to make Wishplace useful every single day.

City events: Daily local context

For every city where you have pinned a wishplace or registered a property, you will now receive daily information about local events. Whether it is a community gathering, a new development, or a cultural event, this feature helps you stay connected to the neighborhoods you care about.

This adds vital context and keeps the app alive. Waiting for a real estate match can take time, and this feature makes that wait more interesting and useful. It transforms the app into a local discovery tool that keeps you informed about the street where you want to live or the building where you own property.

Professional monitoring and automation

To ensure Wishplace runs reliably in production, I have implemented a full suite of monitoring and automation tools. A platform that handles real estate demand must be stable and observable from day one.

  • Performance Monitoring: We are using New Relic to track application performance in real-time.
  • Health Checks: Google Cloud alerts are configured to monitor the health of our database and APIs.
  • Automated Tasks: Scheduled functions are now in place to handle matching execution, news retrieval, and database maintenance.

What comes next for Wishplace

With this final feature added, the focus shifts entirely to launch preparation. The technical "building" phase is over, and the "polishing" phase has begun. We are now preparing the final screenshots for the website and app stores.

We are also conducting one last review of our Terms and Conditions before starting the official testing phase. This ensures that the platform is not only functional but also legally sound and ready for public users.
