Building a new way to handle real estate requires a solid foundation. We are moving fast to turn the inverse housing market from a concept into a working reality. Here is a quick look under the hood at what I have managed to build so far.
The technical stack powering Wishplace
The foundation of the project is now ready. I am using a modern and flexible stack to ensure the app is fast and accessible for everyone.
- Mobile App: The core app is working locally. It is built using Flutter, which allows for a smooth experience on both iOS and Android.
- Agentic AI: I am leveraging Gemini Pro 2.5 in agentic mode. This helps accelerate the development process significantly.
- Global Focus: The landing page now supports 18 translations. This makes the concept friendly and accessible across many different cultures and languages.
Infrastructure and early launch results
The project is starting to get real. The landing page is live at wishplace.app, and I am using a simple but effective system for lead collection. The form connects directly to Google Sheets via Apps Script, and the code is managed on GitHub with automatic deployments.
I also recently introduced Wishplace to the world on Product Hunt. We finished #50 out of over 200 ideas. While it is just the beginning, it was a solid start that provided great early feedback from the tech community.
What is next on the roadmap?
Now that the foundation is set, the focus is shifting toward the core mechanics of the marketplace. This will make the app more functional for serious buyers and owners.
Our next milestones include:
- Designing the mock-up for the token system and monetization features.
- Setting up the proper backend and user authentication for secure access.
- Migrating the infrastructure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for better scaling.
Building at the speed of AI
The most exciting part of this journey is the speed. I have been able to move incredibly fast thanks to the assistance from AI tools. This allows me to focus on the user experience and the "inverse market" logic rather than just fighting with code.
We are just getting started, and the progress is steady. Wishplace is available on iOS and Android. Download the app.
